HYDROLOUNGE / FROM IDEA TO PRODUCT

Does this
sound familiar?

A favourite place in summer. A question of space in winter. An illustrated everyday scene shows why we design outdoor furniture from the outset as replaceable parts that can be stored separately.

Illustrated summer scene: a couple on a terrace with a large conventional garden sofa.

01 / SUMMER MOMENTS

Outside at last.

The terrace is ready. The lounge is in place. Time for long evenings in the garden.

Illustrated autumn scene: rain, wet leaves and a weathered surface on the same garden sofa.

02 / THE WEATHER

Then the weather leaves its mark.

Rain, sun and dirt take their toll on the old furniture. Another round of covering, cleaning and care. What makes outdoor life enjoyable also needs attention.

Illustrated scene: two adults carrying a bulky garden sofa to the garage together.

03 / THE CHANGE OF SEASON

Out for summer. In for winter.

Every year, the same routine: carrying bulky furniture through doorways, negotiating steps and finding a sheltered spot. Two people can manage it — but it is still hard work.

Illustrated winter storage: the large garden sofa and its cushions take up considerable space between bicycles and boxes.

04 / THE QUESTION OF SPACE

And indoors? Already full.

Bicycles, boxes and garden tools need their own space. Add a whole lounge and winter storage soon becomes crowded. In spring, the back-and-forth starts again.

Illustrated HydroLounge packing concept: covers, emptied flexible inner chambers and LED components stored separately; rigid base shells, table and blanking plug outside the bags.

05 / THINK MODULAR, THINK AHEAD

A favourite place. Designed in parts.

What if we designed the furniture in modules from the outset? HydroLounge is developing separate, accessible components: removable covers, flexible inner chambers and independently removable LED components. Rigid parts have their own protected storage space.

The packing concept shows the round lounge with four rigid base shells. OneBag is for dry textile covers only. The shells, table and blanking plug remain separate.

Illustrated everyday scenes. Packing, care, weight, packed dimensions and assembly time will be assessed for the specific model.

OUR DESIGN GOAL

More time in the garden.
A clear plan for every season.

Covers are intended to be removed separately, washed following approval and dried completely. Lighting components will be removed before cleaning. Air and water chambers will be emptied separately; rigid parts will be stored in a protected place.
